The Powered by Africa Top 100 Most Influential Leaders in Infrastructure 2026 seeks to change that by identifying and celebrating exceptional leaders whose vision, expertise, investment, and execution are shaping Africa’s physical and digital future.
The initiative recognizes outstanding engineers, policymakers, investors, project developers, institutional leaders, and infrastructure professionals who are transforming key sectors, including transport, energy, housing, water systems, telecommunications, logistics, urban development, finance, and digital connectivity. These are the individuals whose work is not only delivering critical infrastructure but also redefining how Africa builds for future generations.
Beyond celebrating excellence, the initiative aims to spotlight leaders whose influence extends beyond national borders, contributing to Africa’s growing role in powering the global economy while inspiring the next generation of infrastructure innovators and decision-makers.
As part of the programme, nominees from all 54 African countries will participate in a series of high-profile activities, including the Powered by Africa Conference, the Accra Gala, and a showcase of Ghanaian craftsmanship through the Accra Delegation. The events will take place from Tuesday, November 17, to Friday, November 20, 2026, at the Labadi Beach Hotel in Accra, Ghana.
Held under the theme “Building the Foundations of Africa’s Global Future,” the conference will convene leading policymakers, investors, development partners, industry executives, and infrastructure experts from across Africa and beyond to discuss practical strategies for accelerating the continent’s development.
