Powered by Africa and IoD Host Dialogue with Nigeria’s Foreign Minister Yusuf Maitama Tuggar at Historic 116 Pall Mall, UK

On March 13, 2026, Archeva in partnership with the Institute of Directors (IoD) hosted a landmark dialogue with Nigeria’s Foreign Minister, Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, at the historic 116 Pall Mall, London, UK.

The event brought together global business leaders, policymakers, and members of the African diaspora to discuss Africa’s evolving role in the global economy and strategies for strengthening international partnerships.

The dialogue highlighted the opportunities that Africa presents as a hub of innovation, talent, and investment. Minister Tuggar shared insights on Nigeria’s foreign policy priorities, strategies for attracting global investment, and the importance of leveraging Africa’s diaspora networks to advance economic growth and development across the continent.

Attendees had the opportunity to engage directly with Minister Tuggar through a Q&A session, exploring topics ranging from trade and diplomacy to technology and sustainable development. The conversation emphasized the need for African nations to assert their narratives, showcase local innovation, and cultivate partnerships that drive inclusive growth.

The event at 116 Pall Mall, a historic venue known for its global diplomacy and leadership, underscored the significance of Africa’s voice on the world stage. It was a testament to the growing influence of African leaders and the diaspora in shaping international policy and economic discourse.

As part of its ongoing mission, the Powered by Africa campaign continues to provide a platform for thought leadership, dialogue, and collaboration that positions Africa at the center of global innovation, trade, and cultural influence.

Across major global cities, the African diaspora represents one of the most powerful communities of talent, influence and capital in the international system. Yet the structures that effectively connect these communities with policymakers and opportunities on the continent remain limited.

The powered by Africa campaign is grounded in the idea that Africa’s future will increasingly be shaped by the quality of relationships connecting its leaders, institutions, and diaspora communities across borders.
