Every year, Full Colour dedicates 5% of their annual turnover to supporting organisations working on equity and social justice.
This recognition stems from the campaign’s unparalleled commitment to equity and social justice across the globe, particularly its role in shifting the narrative about Africa’s significant contributions to powering the global economic future. Over the past few months, the Powered By Africa Campaign has emerged as a key force for shaping the narrative of Africa’s contribution to powering the world.
For too long, the narrative surrounding Africa and its people has been shaped by limitation, lack and false stereotypes. We are here to change that, to tell the truth about a continent that has powered civilisations, driven innovation and produced some of the most extraordinary human talent the world has ever seen. This campaign has significantly contributed to shifting this narrative and positioned the continent through a positive lens, highlighting its role in powering global infrastructure, culture, economics, innovation and many critical sectors.
With this recognition, we are moving forward with purpose and a renewed commitment to further champion an agenda that shapes narratives and brings to bear the new Africa powering the world. As part of the campaign, we are publishing a book that celebrates how Africa has, and continues to, power the world through its natural resources, technological innovation, creativity and its people. That book will land in the hands of students in Hertfordshire and Accra, planting seeds of pride and possibility in the next generation.
But a book is just the beginning. This is a movement. A community of advocates across continents, united by one belief: that when Africa’s story is told fully and truthfully, the world changes for the better.
