Powered by Africa Announces Inaugural Campaign Board

Powered by Africa is proud to announce the formation of its inaugural Campaign Board, a distinguished group of global leaders, innovators, policymakers, entrepreneurs and advocates committed to shaping the future narrative of Africa across business, culture, investment and innovation.

The launch of the Campaign Board marks a significant milestone in Powered by Africa’s mission to spotlight the people, ideas and opportunities driving Africa’s growth story on the global stage.

As Powered by Africa continues to build a platform that connects global audiences with African enterprise, the Campaign Board will provide strategic guidance, leadership and expertise to help advance the campaign’s long-term vision and impact.

The Board brings together an exceptional network of individuals with profound experience across business, government, entrepreneurship, media, investment and community leadership.

Among the appointed leaders is the Honourable Helen Grant OBE MP, who will serve as Board Chair, bringing decades of leadership experience and a strong commitment to representation, inclusion and international engagement. She will be supported by a distinguished board including Macky O’Sullivan, Jenny Garrett OBE, Shunquea Posey, Paul Sesay, Amy Woodson, Anne-Marie Headley, Charles Kwaku-Odoi DL, Deirdre LaBassiere, Derrick Hollings, Hansatu Adegbite, James Gregory, Leta McCullough Seletzky, Nicholas Abiwon and Rabbi Marrah-Obaretin, each bringing a wealth of expertise and global perspective across business, leadership, entrepreneurship, media, investment and community development.

Powered by Africa was created to tell a more authentic story about Africa, one led by the voices, talent, innovation and communities shaping the continent today. The Campaign Board represents a collective commitment to amplifying those stories and building meaningful global connections across industries and borders.

The Board will support the continued growth of the Powered by Africa campaign activities, global storytelling initiatives, investment and entrepreneurship engagement, diaspora partnerships, and international delegation experiences designed to connect founders, investors, policymakers, creatives, and communities from around the world.

This announcement comes as Powered by Africa prepares to expand its footprint through immersive storytelling, digital campaigns and international engagement initiatives that showcase Africa as a leading force in global business, creativity, technology and culture.

As part of the campaign, Powered by Africa will also host the “Powered By Africa Conference” and the “Accra Delegation” experience in November, bringing together global leaders, investors, entrepreneurs, policymakers and creatives to explore opportunities, build partnerships and engage directly with the people and industries shaping Africa’s future.

As the campaign continues to grow across the continent and beyond, the Campaign Board will help ensure Powered by Africa remains rooted in authentic storytelling, meaningful partnerships, and long-term impact.
